San Pedro Sacatepequez (San Marcos) corte (wrap skirt).

This wrap skirt was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one cotton/rayon blend panel. It is decorated with supplementary brocade and ikat dye patterns in weft stripes. These cortes are increasingly uncommon. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Blanca Alvarado at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua Guatemala. W 84 x L 324 cm.
