This post-1980 wrap skirt was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one cotton and rayon blend panel that is very lightweight. It features subtle ikat dye patterns among the weft stripe. Narrow red stripes appear to have faded onto the surrounding yellow stripes, an intentional design feature. These cortes are increasingly uncommon. This corte is in very good condition. It was acquired from the Nim Po’t Collection of Antigua Guatemala. Weft 84 x warp 440 cm opened. (10-215) $ 100. OBO
