Back-strap loomed in two white cotton panels joined by hand embroidered “randas”. Classic San Pedro iconography. Surface decoration is supplementary weft brocade in shades of purple. Signed by the weaver “Recuerdo de la cofradia Santo Rosario 7 Oct de 1960 San Pedro Sac”. Patterned raised weft designs. 4 selvadged edges. Hand embroidered collar and around the opening for the saint’s arm. It was acquired at the Museo de Tejido Antiguo in San Antonio Aguas Calientes. Some evidence of use, but in very good condition.
