San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) daily huipil.
This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two white cotton panels. These panels are joined
by multi-colored hand embroidered decorative seams. The panels are heavily decorated with supplementary brocade featuring facing quetzal birds, a duality symbol,
and geometric motifs. The head hole is trimmed with hand embroidered buttonhole stitching. It is in very good condition. Acquired from Juanita Conos of
Chichicastenango at the La Fuente market in Antigua. W86 x L63 cm. (14-44) $ 100. OBO
