San Miguel Chicaj daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in one wide white cotton panel. This panel is decorated with rows of supplementary brocade in horizontal bands of small geometric patterns. This fine example is very well woven. The collar is trimmed with hand-embroidery. San Miguel Chicaj huipils are uncommon. This fine example is in excellent condition. Acquired from Sra. Bonifacia Mendez Bocó at her “tienda” at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 74 x L 62 cm. (16-177) Was $150. Now $125 or best offer.
