San Martin Sacatepequez (aka Chile Verde) rebozo (shawl).

This circa-2000 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one indigo dyed cotton panel with hand knotted fringes at both ends. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring plant, bird and animal motifs. This is an uncommonly fine example in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Gladys Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus. W 63 x L 195 cm plus fringes. (21-17) $ 160 or best offer.
