San Martin Sacatepequez (aka Chile Verde) tzute.

This circa-1980 tzute was hand woven on a back strap loom in one indigo dyed, warp-striped cotton panel. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring bird, cupid, paired scorpions and floral bouquet motifs. It has hand knotted fringes on both ends. This is a rare item. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sr. Sebastian Huarcas in Solola. W 60 x 109 cm plus fringes. (20-68) $ 160 or best offer.
