San Martin Sacatepequez (aka, Chile Verde) daily huipil.
This circa-2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-matched red cotton panels that are joined by elaborate hand embroidered decorative
seams. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring rows of bird and plant motifs. There is an embroidered appliqué collar opened for easier
access. This beautiful example in is excellent condition. It was acquired from Sr. Sebastian Huarcas at his tienda in the Solola market.
