San Martin Sacatepequez (aka Chile Verde) huipil. This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced red cotton blend panels. The panels are decorated with supplementary brocade in universal diamond, plumed serpent and “pavo real” motifs. The head hole is trimmed with black velveteen. It is in excellent condition.
