This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two red cotton blend panels joined by “randas”, hand embroidered decorative seams. These panels are decorated with brocade featuring primarily “pavo real” motifs. It has an add on collar decoration that is hand embroidered. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Juana Escalon of Patzún at the La Fuente market in Antigua Guatemala. W74 x L73 cm. (12-117) $ 80. OBO
