This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three black cotton blend panels. These panels are decorated with brocade featuring “Pavo real” and universal diamond motifs. It shares features with Quetzaltenango huipils. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Juana Escalon of Patzún at the La Fuente market in Antigua Guatemala. W104 x L69 cm. (12-116) $ 80.
