San Martin Jilotepeque daily huipil. W73 x L106 cm opened. This circa-1970 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well matched indigo dyed base panels. These panels are decorated with supplementary brocade in cotton. The principal design in the brocade is the plumed serpent motif. The head and arm holes are trimmed in velvet.
