San Lucas Toliman daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-matched blue cotton panels. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade featuring rows of small animal and geometric figures in traditional San Lucas motifs. The collar and arm hole decorations are extravagantly hand embroidered in “French knots”. This lovely older huipil is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Petronila Mendez Bocó at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 76 x L 64 cm. (16-108) $ 110. OBO
