This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well matched pale blue cotton panels. The surface decoration is supplementary brocade in traditional San Lucas patterns. The collar is trimmed with hand embroidered buttonhole stitch. It is in excellent condition. Acquired from Maria Sacajan Perez of Santa Catarina Palopo at the La Fuente market in Antigua.
