San Juan La Laguna daily huipil.

This post-2000 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two predominantly red and white warp-striped cotton blend panels. The principal decoration is the hand embroidery that surrounds the head opening in a style unique to San Juan La Laguna. This classic example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Sra. Josefa Tocco of San Juan La Laguna at the “bomberos” textile market in Panajachel. W 88 x L 61 cm. (17-86) $ 120. OBO
