San Juan Atitan daily huipil.

This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three primarily red and white warp striped cotton panels. The center panel is wider and more heavily decorated with supplementary brocade in geometric patterns. San Juan Atitán women weave while standing and their huipiles are quite large. This classic example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sr. Pedro Xiloj at his stall in the Chichicastenango market. W 95 x L 88 cm. (23-19) $150 or best offer.
