This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three primarily red, blue and white warp striped cotton blend panels. The center panel is wider and more heavily decorated with supplementary brocade in geometric patterns, most commonly variations of the universal diamond. San Juan Atitán women weave while standing. The hand and arm openings are trimmed with hand embroidery. This huipil is in very good condition.
