San Jose Poaquil ceremonial (sobre) huipil. (W100 x L116 cm opened) Hand woven on a back strap loom in two well matched cotton panels. Supplementary brocade featuring plant and floral designs. Hand spun base thread. Similar to huipils from nearby San Juan Comalapa. This huipil was principally worn in cofradia society ceremonies. Rare. Pre-1980. Very good condition.
