San Jose Nacahuil vintage daily huipil. W73 x L127 cm opened. This circa 1950 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well matched white cotton panels. The panels are joined by a delicate hand embroidered decorative seam. The decoration is a heavy supplementary brocade. San Jose Nacahuil huipils are influenced by the much larger and nearby San Pedro Sacatepéquez (G). However, they are much more uncommon. Examples this old are very rare. It is in very good condition.
