San Jose Nacahuil daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back- strap loom in two well-matched white cotton base panels that are joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. These panels are decorated with dense supplementary brocade principally featuring the facing S motifs across the chest. The collar is trimmed with hand embroidery and opened for easier access. San José Nacahuil huipils are increasingly uncommon. This fine example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sra. Milagro Chavez at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W 85 x L 57 cm. (16-86) $ 150. OBO
