San Jose Nacahuil daily huipil.

This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back- strap loom in two white cotton panels that are joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. These panels are decorated with dense supplementary brocade featuring universal diamond and zoomorphic motifs. San José Nacahuil huipils are uncommon. This fine example is in very good condition. From Petronila Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus at her stall in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 90 x L 63 cm. (15-276) $ 200. OBO
