San Jose Nacahuil daily huipil. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two green cotton base panels. These panels are joined by hand embroidered decorative seams and decorated with dense supplementary brocade featuring designs that become an abstraction. San Jose Nacahuil huipils are influenced by the much larger and nearby San Pedro Sacatepéquez (G) huipils, but are much less common. This fine example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Ema and Carmen Tepeu at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua Guatemala. W 76 x L 64 cm. (14-31) $ 90. OBO
