San Ildefonso Ixtahuacan daily huipil.
This beautiful post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 3
white cotton panels joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. This huipil style features extensive brocade in the
“soumak” style similar to nearby Colotenango, but with a hand embroidered collar decoration, usually in floral designs.
This fine example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Sr. Nicolas Mendez Bocó at the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua.
W 78 x L 48 cm. (17-82) $ 170. OBO
