San Cristobal Totonicapan (?) corte. Weft 90 x warp 428 cm opened. This post-1980 corte was hand woven on a foot treadle loom in one
wide cotton panel. It features ikat dye patterns in indigo both on the warp and weft. Although generic to the Totonicapan-Salcaja corte
weaving area, this one is thought to be from San Cristobal Totonicapan. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Ema and
Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepequez (G) at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua Guatemala. (11-192) $ 90.
Sold. Other similar cortes may be available. Photos provided on request.
