San Antonio Palopó daily huipil. W81 x L102 cm opened. This circa-1970 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three cotton base panels. These panels are decorated with rows of universal diamond and other geometric designs in supplementary brocade. San Antonio Palopo huipils this old are rare. These huipils are traditionally worn with multiple strands of gold beads. The neck and arm holes are trimmed with hand embroidered chain stitch. It is in very good condition.
