San Antonio Aguas Calientes huipil. Hand woven on a back strap loom in two cotton panels. The surface decoration is brocade, with double supplementary weft brocade producing the floral and bird motifs on both sides. This is the only village that utilizes this difficult technique known as “marcador” and its huipils are widely prestigious. This very fine example is in excellent condition.
