San Andres Xecul blusa.

This circa-1985 blusa features hand embroidery on a white commercial cotton base. The embroidery is all hand done in the style unique to San Andres Xecul featuring many whimsical animals surrounding the head and arm openings. Xecul blusas are now increasingly uncommon. This very fine example much larger than most, done on a heavier material and is in very good condition. It was acquired from the collection of Antigua archaeologist and jade expert, Mary Lou Ridinger. www.jademaya.com W 106 x L 100 cm. (20-54) $ 200 or best offer.
