San Andres Xecul blusa. W82 x L147 cm opened. This post-1980 blusa features hand embroidery on a pink commercial
cotton blend base. The embroidery is all hand done in the style unique to San Andres Xecul. These blusas are now
increasingly rare. The embroidery, which surrounds the head and arm openings, features a sunburst at the neck and
many whimsical animals in the surrounding areas. These openings are also trimmed with hand embroidery. This fine
example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Ana Carolina Ajanel of Chichicastenango.
