Sacapulas daily huipil.
This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back-strap loom in three cotton panels that are decorated
with supplementary brocade in colors and geometric patterns characteristic of Sacapulas huipils. The floral decoration around
the head opening is hand embroidered. Sacapulas huipils are rare. This classic example is in excellent condition. It was
acquired from the Petronila
Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus at her stall in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 85 x L 61 cm. (15-290a) $225. OBO
