Quetzaltenango vintage rebozo.

This circa-1970 rebozo was hand woven on a back strap loom in one warp-striped panel. The weft is cotton and the warp is cotton and silk. It features ikat chevrons typical of Quetzaltenago rebozos. The fringes are hand knotted warp threads. It is old and soft. Quetzaltenango silk rebozos are rare and are no longer produced. This beautiful example is in very good condition.
