Patzun daily huipil. W92 x L120 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two striped red panels. The striping is typical of Patzún huipils. The floral decoration is all hand embroidered. Flores is the most typical motif in modern Patzún huipils, but this one is uniquely well done. The base fabric is aleman, a cotton-rayon blend popular among Maya women, especially in Patzún. Patzún huipils are popular with Maya women throughout the highlands. This one is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Bonifacia Mendez Bocó of Santa Maria de Jesus. (6-283) $ 100 *SOLD*
