Patzún daily huipil.
This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two cotton/rayon blend warp-striped panels.
This base fabric is known as “aleman” and is prized for its softness and drape. This huipil features extensive hand embroidered
decoration in the traditional but less common “plumas” (feathers and Maya glyph) motifs. This classic example is in very good condition.
It was acquired from Sra. Estefana Culajah at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W 87 x L 54 cm. (19-71) $ 100. OBO
