Patzún ceremonial huipil.

This gorgeous huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two wide, warp-striped cotton panels that are joined by multi-colored decorative seams. The head opening is surrounded by hand embroidery, all in silk in the “plumas” style. Huipils such as this are rare. This classic example is in excellent condition, but has some evidence of wear. Acquired from a private collection in Guatemala. W 130 x L 64 cm. (18-38) $ 800. OBO.
