Patzún ceremonial huipil.

This post-1980 ceremonial huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp striped cotton panels. The striping on the base fabric is typical of Patzún huipils. The primary decoration is the hand embroidered plumas motif in silk surrounding the head opening. It is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Ana Carolina Ajanel of Chichicastenango.
