The circa-1980 ceremonial huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in 2 balanced red cotton panels joined by hand embroidered decorative seams. It features thin warp stripes in ixcaco – hand spun naturally brown cotton. Patzicía ceremonial huipils are very rare, especially with ixcaco decoration. It is in very good condition.
