Patzicia ceremonial huipil. (W131 x L120 opened) Hand woven on a back strap loom in 2 wide cotton panels joined by a hand embroidered decorative seam. The supplementary brocade, some in silk, features geometric designs. There are very narrow stripes of warp threads in hand spun natural brown cotton (ixcaco). Rare. Circa 1970. Very good condition.
