Patzicia daily huipil. W86 x L114 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two red striped panels. The base fabric is aleman, a cotton-rayon blend prized among Maya women for its loose drape. The principal decoration is supplementary brocade in zigzag patterns. The head and arm holes are trimmed in black velveteen. It is in very good condition. It was acquired from Ema and Carmen Tepeu of San Pedro Sacatepéquez (G). (4-368) $ 75 *SOLD*
