Patzicía daily huipil.

This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well-balanced warp-striped red base panels. The base panel fabric is "aleman", a blend of cotton and rayon prized for its softness and drape. The panels are decorated with rows of supplementary brocade in geometric patterns typical to Patzicia huipils. Patzicia huipils are increasingly uncommon. This classic example is in very good condition. It was acquired from the tienda of Sra. Bonifacia Mendez Bocó in the Mercado des Artesanos in Antigua. W 79 x L 57 cm. (19-145) $ 120 or best offer.
