Patzicía daily huipil.
This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp-striped red base panels. The base panels are "aleman", a
blend of cotton and rayon prized for its softness and drape. The panels are decorated with supplementary brocade in patterns typical to Patzicia, particularly
the horizontal rows of human figures. Patzicia huipils are uncommon. This example is in very good condition. It was collected from Milagro Chavez of San
Juan Sacatepequez at the La Fuente market in Antigua Guatemala. W 87 x L 53 cm. (10-68) $ 80. OBO
