Panajachel faja. (sash)
Hand woven on a back strap loom in one cotton panel featuring multi-colored warp
stripes. Some of these stripes include simple ikat dye patterns. It is further decorated by large areas of
embroidery on each end where the designs appear equally on both sides. Panajachel fajas are rare. Circa 1980.
This outstanding example is in excellent condition.
