This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two warp-striped dark red cotton blend panels decorated with supplementary brocade. The brocade features rows of cats. The head hole is finished with hand embroidery chain stitch. Panajachel huipils are increasingly rare. This example is in very good condition.
