Panajachel daily huipil.
This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three red warp striped cotton base panels. The center panel is wider
and decorated with rows of animal and bird motifs in supplementary brocade. The head opening is trimmed with hand embroidery in a buttonhole stitch.
Panajachel huipils are increasingly rare. This outstanding example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from a private collection in Antigua Guatemala.
