Panajachel daily huipil.
This circa-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three red warp striped cotton base panels. The center panel is
decorated with rows of animal and bird motifs in supplementary brocade. The head and arm openings are trimmed with hand embroidery in a buttonhole stitch.
Panajachel huipils are increasingly rare. This example is in very good condition. It was acquired from Florinda Raxtún Garcia of Panajachel on Calle
Santander. W 67 x L 60 cm. (11-50) Was $ 65. Now $ 40. OBO
