Panajachel daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three dark red/brown warp striped cotton base panels. The center panel is wider and decorated with rows of cats in supplementary brocade. The head opening is trimmed with hand embroidery in a buttonhole stitch. Panajachel huipils are increasingly rare. This example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from the Nim Po’t Collection of Antigua Guatemala. W 91 x L 166 cm opened. (11-259) $ 160. OBO
