Panajachel daily huipil. W93 x L123 cm opened. This post-1980 daily huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three dark red cotton panels decorated with supplementary brocade. The center panel is wider and more extensively decorated. The brocade decoration on the center panels features rows of bird, deer and cat designs. The head hole is finished with hand embroidery in a sunburst design. Panajachel huipils are increasingly rare. This example is in excellent condition.
