Panajachel niña huipil. W55 x L81 cm opened. This post-1980 child’s huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in three red and brown striped cotton panels. The center panel is wider and more extensively decorated. These panels are decorated with supplementary brocade featuring animal and bird motifs on the center panel and plant and geometric motifs on the side panels. The collar is trimmed with a purple chain stitch. This example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Juana Mateo Rosales of Panajachel. (10-206) $ 50. SOLD.
