Palin daily huipil.

This post-1980 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in a single white cotton base panel that is typically red on its outer edges. This panel is decorated with supplementary brocade featuring the central motif of the double-headed eagle surrounded by bird and plumed serpent motifs. Palin huipils are increasingly uncommon. This classic example is relatively large for a Palin huipil. It was acquired from Sra. Carmen Tepeu at her “tienda” on 4e Calle Oriente in Antigua Guatemala. It is in excellent condition. W 76 x L 51 cm. (23-16) $ 125 or best offer.
