Santa Maria Nebaj ceremonial huipil.
The center panel was hand woven on a back strap loom with hand-spun base thread.
This panel is decorated by supplementary brocade in silk featuring animal, human, bird and geometric designs typical
of Nebaj ceremonial huipils. It has a hand embroidered traditional collar representing the cardinal directions.
This fine example is in excellent condition.
