Nebaj daily huipil.

This post-2000 huipil was hand woven on a back strap loom in two well balanced red and white cotton base panels. These panels are decorated with supplementary brocade featuring animal, bird, people and geometric motifs typical of Nebaj weavings, but organized in weft stripes in the contemporary manner. The traditional collar design symbolizing the four cardinal directions is hand embroidered. This beautiful example is in excellent condition. It was acquired from Juanita Conos at the La Fuente textile market in Antigua. W 68 x L 74 cm. (15-71) $ 150. OBO
