Nebaj rebozo (shawl) or cargador (carrying cloth). W 107 x L 150 cm plus fringe. This circa-1980 rebozo or cargador was hand woven on a back strap loom on two warp striped cotton panels. These panels are decorated with hand embroidered designs in white thread depicting birds and plants. This unique item is in very good condition. It was acquired from Tomassa Calbo Mateo of Chichicastenango at the “bomberos” textile market in Panajachel. (11-194) $ 115. Sold.
